Rerouted to Arverne and Introduction of Weekday Peak Period Limited-Stop Service

To provide direct bus service between the large growing community in Arverne-by-the-Sea on the Rockaway Peninsula and central Queens, the routed Q21 will travel east of the Cross Bay Bridge to Beach 69 St in Arverne, instead of west to Rockaway Park.

Customers who used to take the Q21 in Rockaway Park should now take the Q53,which will continue to serve Rockaway Park and the Woodhaven/Cross Bay Boulevard corridor.
The Q21 local to Arverne will retain the current frequencies and hours of service, and all current Q21 local bus stops between Broad Channel and Elmhurst, including bus stops in Lindenwood, which will remain unchanged.

Q21Weekday Peak-Period Limited-Stop Service
To provide faster service on the busy Woodhaven/Cross Bay Boulevard corridor, limited-stop Q21 service will operate between Arverne and Elmhurst and run during the weekday peak period in the peak direction only.

The Q21 Limited will operate northbound 5:45-7:45 AM and southbound 4:22 –6:22 PM, on weekdays.

The Q21 Limited will serve the same bus stops as the Q53 Limited between Broad Channel and Elmhurst, including bypassing Lindenwood, and also make limited-stops on Rockaway Beach Boulevard.
