The Arverne By The Sea community is a part of New York City School District 27. As one of the most improved school districts in NYC, it is a wonderful district in which children are able to thrive and grow through education. Additionally, the taxes paid at Arverne By The Sea go directly towards bettering the local district, meaning that as our community grows, so too will this constantly improving school district.

Another crowning local achievement was the ranking of the Rockaway Scholars’ Academy amongst the 12 highest ranked high schools in NYC by The New York Post. With an enrollment of 1200 students in grades 6 to 12, this local school (located at 320 Beach 104th Street) is a top option for public charter school education.

Many families at Arverne By The Sea choose to send their children to the renowned Lawrence Woodmere Academy. Located only 15 minutes away, just across the Queens/Nassau border (at 336 Woodmere Boulevard in Woodmere, New York) this premier, co-educational college preparatory school teaches Preschool through grade 12. This is a wonderful establishment for those families and students who embrace quality education.

Additionally, some exciting news is the addition of a new public charter school to our community, which is scheduled to break ground in 2015 in The Dunes neighborhood at Arverne By The Sea.
